Job Title
Unineed is a fast-growing Cross-border e-commerce company, powered by our bespoke system Xtopus, which enables seamless global sales through major digital marketing channels. Specialising in beauty and lifestyle, we currently serve customers in over 150 countries from fulfilment centres in Glasgow, China, Texas and Spain.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Buying Department and grow with our company. Buying experience and logistics experience are desired but full training will be provided. This role requires the successful candidate to be confident and capable working with excel and analyzing data on a daily basis. Self-starter with high initiative, proactive attitude, willingness to learn and find solutions for arising problems. Keen interest in beauty and cosmetics trends is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage offers and orders for existing suppliers
- Develop suppliers for new ranges of products, brands and categories to drive growth
- Product research for different marketplaces and develop product ranges for the specific marketplace
- Complete regular competitor analysis to ensure our product range and prices are competitive
- Budgeting for buying
- Purchasing of office and logistics supplies
- Negotiating with suppliers to reduce costs, whilst building strong relationships
- Contacting suppliers for product availability and lead times
- Identifying savings and business improvement opportunities
- Relentlessly driving purchase cost down
- Assisting with the accuracy of stock levels
- Forecasting, allocation and stock replenishment to maximise sales and conversion
- Negotiation of exclusive offers
- Liaise with third party logistic companies and dealing with import and export documents
- Following up on shipments
- Making sure all products purchased are correctly uploaded on the website
- Liaise with the marketing team to make sure all products are planned in the promotions
- Work closely with the marketing team to understand the market trends, sourcing new brands and products based on these findings
- Analyze performance by product type and marketing channel, highlighting any gaps and opportunities
- Producing product performance reports & buying KPIs

- Ability to use own initiative and work independently
- Excellent communication skills to work well with remote teams in UK, Spain and China
- Analytical skills are essential, this is an excel heavy role where analyzing data is central to success.
- You need to be a visionary and understand Unineed's long-term global vision
- You need to have strong leadership skills
- You need to be a 'people person' to fit with the company culture and team
- Previous logistic experience is preferred but not essential
- Good negotiation skills
- Strong commercial awareness, high attention to detail and accuracy in reporting information
- Ability to build trust and develop strong relationships both internally and externally
