Position Summary
The Procurement Operations Senior Manager will be based in our Bracknell, UK office and will lead procurement operations, category management, and strategic sourcing activities across the European business. Working in close partnership with Global Senior Category Managers and key business stakeholders, the role is responsible for executing global category strategies while developing and delivering sourcing strategies for regional and local spend categories.
The role will drive end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier relationship management, commercial negotiations, and procurement operations to deliver sustainable cost savings, value creation, and operational excellence. The Procurement Operations Senior Manager is accountable for ensuring procurement activities support business performance, mitigate risk, enhance supplier performance, and deliver high-quality services across Avis Budget Group's European rental network.
In addition, the role will lead and support key enterprise-wide procurement initiatives across Avis Budget Group International, working under the direction of the Director of Procurement Systems & Strategic Initiatives. This will include supporting the Global Procurement Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan, developing the Global Procurement Policy, architecting and operationalizing the global Source-to-Pay (S2P) framework, and supporting governance of Global Procurement value capture delivery.

What you’ll do
Procurement & Category Management
- Lead the development and execution of category strategies for regional and local spend categories, aligned with global procurement objectives and European business priorities.
- Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing activities, including spend analysis, market assessments, supplier identification, RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations, and contract award.
- Partner with Global Senior Category Managers to execute global sourcing strategies, identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, standardization, and demand optimization, and maximize total value.
- Deliver measurable cost savings, cost avoidance, and value.
- Deliver measurable cost savings, cost avoidance, and value creation through strategic sourcing, supplier innovation, and effective commercial negotiations.
- Build and maintain a robust sourcing pipeline, prioritizing procurement initiatives to achieve financial targets, operational objectives, and business priorities.
- Establish trusted partnerships with business stakeholders to understand requirements, challenge demand where appropriate, and develop commercially sound procurement strategies that balance cost, quality, service, and risk.
- Negotiate and implement commercial agreements that maximize value while ensuring compliance with company policies, governance standards, and contractual requirements.
- Monitor supplier markets, industry trends, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation, supply resilience, competitive advantage, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure effective contract governance and supplier performance management throughout the contract lifecycle, driving compliance, value realization, and continuous improvement.
