About The Role

Our placements last for 12 months where you will gain valuable experience and develop a number of key skills that will help you to pursue a career in procurement. Our busy Procurement Teams manage a spend of over £100m per year, liaising closely with various internal & external stakeholders to deliver best value solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Process requisitions to provide sites with a range of materials, subcontract services, and complex external plant.
  • Onboard suppliers in our new operating regions and help build effective relationships.
  • Nurture existing supplier relationships to ensure all sites receive requirements in a timely and safe manner.
  • Manage enquiries and orders to add value and reduce cost.
  • Explore alternative products and solutions, which offer carbon savings and offer sustainable benefits.
  • Support on implementing long term trading agreements.
  • Understand construction requirements through a mix of site & supplier visits.
  • Building relationships with our site teams and other support unit teams.
  • Produce high-level reports on spend, utilisation and costs.
  • Learn key negotiation skills and implement them through engaging with various stakeholders to add value.
