A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Procurement Program Manager within our Small Gas Turbines business, you will take ownership of complex procurement projects and strategic programs that support operational stability, business performance and the continued development of our global supply chain.
You will manage initiatives from initial scope through to delivery, bringing together Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance and other stakeholders to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget and aligned with business objectives. Alongside project delivery, you will work directly with suppliers, manage commercial negotiations and use data and reporting to provide senior leadership with clear visibility of performance, risks and opportunities.
This is a senior specialist role offering significant autonomy and the opportunity to combine procurement expertise, project management and commercial judgement to influence strategic priorities across Small Gas Turbines.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex procurement projects and strategic programs, defining scope, success criteria, project plans, milestones, resources and timelines in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
- Manage project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting and variance analysis, while producing clear performance dashboards and reporting for Monthly Operational Reviews and leadership forums.
- Lead strategic sourcing and supplier activities, including supplier identification, evaluation, selection, performance management and complex commercial negotiations for direct materials and services.
- Manage procurement execution across projects, ensuring materials and services are available against required schedules while overseeing supply chain risks, contracts, Material Requirements Planning, inventory requirements and supplier performance.
- Use SAP, Power BI and procurement data to analyse performance, identify trends and provide actionable insight while driving improvements to processes, cost, efficiency and compliance.
- Act as a procurement subject matter expert across the business, resolving complex issues, supporting cross-functional stakeholders and coaching less experienced colleagues to strengthen capability across the team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
