Contract Role: Procurement SME, Vice President – TPRM - Financial Services

Contract Location: Cheshire (Hybrid)

Contract Duration: 6 months initially (with potential extension)

Contract Start Date: Immediate

Contract Classification: Inside IR35

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Procurement SME at VP level to support the integration and alignment of a newly acquired entity within a leading financial services organisation.

The role will focus on bringing procurement activities, suppliers, contracts, governance and operating practices into alignment with the wider organisation. You will provide senior-level procurement expertise across integration, remediation and operating model activities, working closely with key business and procurement stakeholders.

  • Lead procurement activities associated with the integration of a newly acquired entity.
  • Map and assess existing suppliers, contracts and procurement arrangements.
  • Review and align procurement governance, controls, policies and standards. Support the development and implementation of the target procurement operating model.
  • Lead or support contracting and supplier management activities.
  • Identify procurement gaps, risks and areas requiring remediation.
  • Develop and implement proportionate Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) frameworks, standards and controls.
  • Work with stakeholders across Procurement, Risk, Legal, Technology and the wider business to deliver integration activities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and senior-level guidance across procurement and supplier-related matters.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Extensive end-to-end Procurement experience at a senior / VP level.
  • Strong experience across Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), including developing and implementing proportionate frameworks, standards and controls.
  • Previous experience within Financial Services.
  • Strong understanding of supplier management, contracting, procurement governance and controls.
  • Experience developing or implementing procurement policies and operating models.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate confidently at senior level.
  • Experience identifying procurement risks, gaps and remediation requirements.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within Technology, Payments or FinTech procurement categories.
  • Previous experience supporting M&A integration, transition or separation programmes.
  • Experience integrating procurement functions, suppliers and contracts following an acquisition.
