Role Description
The Procurement Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Stamford. The individual in this position will manage end-to-end procurement activities, including preparing and processing purchase orders, sourcing materials and services, and maintaining accurate records in procurement systems. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating suppliers, supporting contract negotiations, monitoring inventory and delivery timelines, and ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards. The role also involves analyzing purchasing data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, collaborating with internal stakeholders on procurement needs, and building strong relationships with vendors to support Alltech’s operational and sustainability goals.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Procurement and Purchase Orders skills, including experience with purchasing workflows and ERP or procurement software.
- Candidates should possess Contract Negotiation skills, with the ability to support favorable terms, manage risk, and ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
- Relevant experience in supply chain, purchasing, or operations within manufacturing, agriculture, or a related industry is beneficial.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in an on-site environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ideally D365, and familiarity with data analysis or reporting tools is an advantage.
