About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Buyer Specialist to join our Indirect Procurement team. The role will be responsible for managing assigned indirect commodities and supporting the full purchasing lifecycle, from supplier scouting and sourcing through order placement and contract management. You will play a key role in delivering cost savings, improving supplier performance, and supporting short- and long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage materials and services sourcing and procurement within assigned indirect commodities, driving cost deflation, variable cost productivity, and cash-flow targets.
- Lead procurement activities from request for quotation (RFQ) through order placement, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage a portfolio of strategic indirect suppliers, including medium/high-complexity purchases and medium/high annual spend.
- Develop and implement supplier strategies aligned with global commodity strategies, focusing on simplification, sourcing integrity, productivity, quality, and fulfillment.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives through contract negotiation, process improvements, and sustainable cost controls, working with Finance to validate savings impact.
- Act as the procurement focal point for cross-functional stakeholders and influence supplier selection and sourcing decisions.
- Develop technical and market expertise within assigned commodity areas and collaborate with global indirect sourcing teams, business units, and functions.
- Identify and assess supplier capabilities, while monitoring and managing supplier performance.
- Negotiate competitive pricing while maintaining required quality, service, and delivery standards.
- Collaborate with other business sourcing teams and participate in strategic sourcing initiatives.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain, with strong experience in Indirect Procurement.
- High-energy, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership across functions and teams.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, including executive-level communication.
- Ability to coach, influence, and engage peers and senior stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent listening and stakeholder-management skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel when required.
- Valid UK work permit/right to work in the UK.
