The Role
As a Procurement Specialist you will be supporting the Procurement Manager to drive cost savings, efficiencies, and process improvements across Debenhams Group and deliver commercial support for stakeholders across various categories (Facilities, Travel, Marketing, IT).
You will be responsible for maintaining the contract lifecycle, managing approvals and signature workflows, tracking procurement savings and KPIs, and supporting the successful implementation and ongoing adoption of our new Source-to-Contract platform. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a modern, data-driven procurement function within a fast-paced retail environment.
This role is based onsite in Manchester 5 days per week.

What you'll be doing
Procurement Operations & Administration (60%)
- Own the administration of the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, ensuring sourcing activities progress smoothly from request through to contract execution.
- Manage the central contract repository, ensuring all contracts, amendments, and supporting documentation are accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Coordinate internal approval workflows and contract signature processes through DocuSign or equivalent platforms.
- Monitor contract expiry dates, maintain the contract renewal pipeline, and proactively engage stakeholders to ensure timely renewals.
- Track procurement projects, key milestones, and sourcing activities to ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain procurement trackers, including savings, sourcing pipeline, contract status, and procurement KPIs.
- Produce regular procurement reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Support supplier onboarding, documentation, and compliance activities.
- Ensure procurement records, policies, and governance documentation are maintained to a high standard.
Procurement Transformation (20%)
- Support the Head of Procurement and Senior Procurement Manager with the implementation and ongoing administration of the new Source-to-Contract platform.
- Identify opportunities to automate procurement processes, improve data quality, and increase procurement compliance.
- Contribute to the continuous development of procurement processes, templates, and ways of working.

Commercial Support (20%)
- Support sourcing and contract review activities across a range of indirect spend categories.
- Research suppliers, markets, and cost models to support sourcing strategies and commercial decision-making.
- Assist with commercial negotiations and contract reviews to deliver value for money and annualised savings.
- Support the management of supplier relationships, contract performance, and service reviews.
