We’re pleased to be recruiting a Procurement Officer to join us at Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG). This is a fantastic opportunity for a procurement professional who wants to develop their career in a values-led organisation, playing a key role in delivering efficient, compliant and value-for-money procurement that supports high-quality services for our customers and communities.
About the role
As a Procurement Officer, you’ll support the Procurement team in delivering end-to-end procurement activity across the organisation. From managing tenders and supplier relationships to supporting contract management and spend analysis, you’ll help ensure WCHG secures goods, services and works that meet our needs while delivering value and managing risk.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business, providing advice, guidance and practical support, and contributing to continuous improvement in how procurement is delivered.

What you’ll be doing
- Delivering end-to-end procurement processes across a range of value thresholds
- Supporting procurement strategies, category plans and value-for-money initiatives
- Managing procurement pipelines and prioritising multiple projects effectively
- Assisting with contract and supplier management, including renewals and performance monitoring
- Maintaining and using e-procurement systems to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Analysing spend data and supporting reporting, KPIs and decision-making
- Providing procurement advice and guidance to internal stakeholders
- Contributing to continuous improvement of procurement processes and procedures
What we’re looking for
You’ll bring a strong foundation in procurement, alongside a collaborative and practical approach, including:
- A relevant professional qualification (e.g. CIPS or equivalent)
- Experience working in a procurement role, ideally within the public sector or a similar environment
- Experience managing tendering processes and supporting contract and supplier management
- Confidence providing procurement advice and guidance to colleagues
- Experience using e-procurement systems and analysing spend data
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
