Your new company

I am partnering with a reputable public-sector organisation in the heart of Sheffield to help recruit a Procurement Specialist position into their expanding team. The organisation is a rewarding place to work and they have ambitious plans over the next 4 years. The Procurement team work on a huge variety of projects, ranging from standard organisation-wide purchasing, through to complex, £multi-million transformation projects - so you'll absolutely get the chance to be involved in a broad range of exciting procurement projects.

Your new role

The Procurement Specialist will lead the end-to-end procurement process for a variety of spend areas, ranging from ICT and corporate services, through to facilities management and operations. This will be a mixture of competitive framework call-offs and open market tenders under the Procurement Act 2023. You will line manage and coach a small procurement team, and you will provide procurement guidance and advice to stakeholders across the organisation. You will support the senior procurement colleagues with devising category strategies within given areas of spend, and you'll also build strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers. As a Procurement Specialist, you will analyse spend data across the organisation, identify & manage risk and present findings to senior management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
