Join William Grant & Sons as a Procurement Specialist

Supporting our Procurement Packaging team to execute key processes, projects, and supplier activities that help us manage change and deliver value at every opportunity. This role will play an important part in managing procurement data, supporting NPD processes, pricing, invoicing, and working collaboratively with packaging commodity Category Managers and stakeholders across the business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partner with NPD Project Managers to deliver packaging projects on time, within budget, and to agreed quality and specification standards.
  • In collaboration with Category Managers, lead packaging sourcing activities for NPD projects, managing RFQs, supplier evaluations, selection processes, and supplier onboarding.
  • Manage component approval and costing processes within ERP systems to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive successful product and packaging development outcomes.
  • Work closely with Category Managers to align NPD activities with long-term sourcing strategies, supplier capabilities, and development plans.
  • Identify and develop innovative packaging solutions that support sustainability, cost optimisation, performance improvement, and new technology adoption.
  • Contribute to category strategies by identifying future supplier, technology, and capability development opportunities.
  • Monitor supplier performance throughout NPD projects and provide input to supplier performance management processes.
  • Own tracking, reporting, and analysis of the NPD project pipeline and broader procurement performance metrics.
  • Champion an inclusive, collaborative culture that reflects WG&S values and promotes diversity of thought.

About You

You are an organised, collaborative professional who enjoys bringing people, ideas, and suppliers together to deliver successful outcomes. You are comfortable working across multiple projects and stakeholders, and you combine strong attention to detail with a practical, solution-focused approach.

You'll bring:

  • Experience in procurement, packaging, supply chain, product development, project management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • The ability to balance quality, cost, service, and sustainability considerations when supporting business decisions.
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with confidence working with data and systems.
  • Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in innovation, new technologies, and sustainable solutions.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and support project delivery.
  • Experience of ERP systems and sourcing processes would be advantageous.
