Job Description
Based in Glasgow, we are currently looking to hire Procurement Specialists! As a key member of our procurement team, you will demonstrate exceptional analytical capabilities, collaborative spirit, and a commitment to operational excellence whilst supporting our business objectives through strategic sourcing and contract management. Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting end-to-end procurement projects, including vendor selection, proposal analysis, contract negotiation, and commercial terms assessment to maximise business value and ensure cost-effectiveness
- Developing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and vendor representatives, providing transparent communication and managing expectations throughout the procurement lifecycle
- Coordinating contract construction, negotiation, and evaluation whilst identifying potential risks and proactively implementing mitigation strategies with management
- Monitoring supplier performance against agreed terms, ensuring adherence to quality, delivery, and cost objectives
- Implementing and refining procurement processes, policies, and methodologies whilst maintaining comprehensive documentation and records to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable knowledge and proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management
- Comprehensive understanding of the strategic sourcing process lifecycle and best practice methodologies
- Strong contract negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable commercial terms
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships across all organisational levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex procurement concepts clearly
- Exceptional organisational abilities and time management skills, capable of managing multiple competing priorities
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a methodical, detail-oriented approach

Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of Vendor Management Systems (VMS) or procurement software platforms
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualification or equivalent professional certification
