About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Systems and Compliance Lead to play a key role within a Procurement Centre of Excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for embedding, optimising and continuously improving the organisation's end-to-end e-procurement platform, ensuring it delivers effective processes, controls, governance and management information across the procurement function.

Acting as the subject matter expert for procurement systems, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, technology partners and support teams to drive system performance, compliance and continuous improvement. The role also supports the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to enhance procurement efficiency, reporting and control.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for the organisation's e-procurement platform, overseeing upgrades, patches and ongoing system development.
• Provide first-line support for procurement system users and coordinate with technical support teams to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
• Collaborate with finance, procurement and other business functions to ensure seamless integration between procurement and finance systems.
• Support the development and implementation of new procurement technologies, including AI-enabled tools and automation opportunities.
• Drive procurement compliance and governance, ensuring policies, procedures and controls are consistently applied.
• Support internal and external audit activity, including compliance testing, evidence gathering and remediation actions.
• Maintain procurement risk registers, ensuring risks are reviewed, mitigated and escalated where appropriate.
• Undertake assigned control ownership responsibilities and ensure timely completion of control testing activities.
• Manage conflict-of-interest processes, associated policies and staff training requirements.
• Oversee access management for procurement documentation and collaboration platforms.
• Promote procurement best practice and continuous improvement across the organisation.
• Analyse procurement performance data, identify trends and recommend improvement opportunities.
• Support the delivery of procurement transformation and performance improvement initiatives.
• Manage relationships with external procurement data, risk and supplier information providers.
• Support the maintenance of procurement policies, procedures, standard operating procedures and governance documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable procurement legislation, regulatory requirements and ethical sourcing obligations.
• Deliver training and guidance on procurement processes and systems to internal stakeholders.
