Procurement is playing a critical strategic role in driving growth, delivering value, and enabling smarter commercial decision-making across ASDA.

As part of our continued investment in Procurement, we're looking for a Procurement Transformation Lead to help shape and deliver our ambitious transformation agenda. This is a unique opportunity to influence how procurement operates, drives value and partners with the business across one of the UK's most recognised retail brands.

Description

The Opportunity

ASDA's Procurement function is undergoing significant transformation, with a focus on enhancing commercial performance, improving ways of working, leveraging technology, strengthening supplier collaboration, and building future-fit capabilities.

As Procurement Transformation Lead, you will play a central role in designing and implementing key transformation initiatives across people, process, technology, governance and operating model. Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the business, you will drive change programmes that improve procurement effectiveness, unlock value opportunities, enhance user experience and support ASDA's long-term strategic objectives.

This role offers high visibility across the organisation and provides the opportunity to influence strategic programmes that directly impact business performance, operational efficiency and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of Procurement Transformation initiatives aligned to ASDA's strategic objectives.
  • Drive process improvement and operational excellence across procurement activities, identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate.
  • Support the implementation and optimisation of procurement technology, digital tools and data-driven decision making.
  • Develop and embed new ways of working, governance frameworks and best practice procurement processes.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Technology and Operations to drive change adoption and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional transformation projects, ensuring effective planning, governance, stakeholder engagement and benefit realisation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve supplier collaboration, commercial performance and procurement capability.
  • Support organisational change management activities including communications, training and stakeholder engagement.
  • Establish and monitor transformation KPIs, reporting progress, risks and outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of ASDA's Procurement operating model and long-term transformation roadmap.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
