Twinings Ovaltine are is working on a major change initiative to fully localise Ovaltine production in Lagos, Nigeria. The Procurement Workstream Lead will give strategic leadership for a major change initiative involving the Twinings footprint and related supply chain functions. They will provide leadership of the Procurement Workstream and all market interfaces for the scope of the procurement/all category buying required to support the new end to end site. They will have overall accountability for project planning, development and integration of all workstream activity and delivery against time, cost, quality.
Please note: That this role can be located anywhere, but frequent travel to Lagos will be required. This is a 6 - 9 month FTC

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership of the workstream, including full accountability for workstream planning, development and execution.
- Leads and manages workstream members to deliver workstream deliverables on-time and on-budget.
- Liaise regularly with project team workstream leaders to track and monitor progress against plan, budget and resources. Understands any market impacts and interdependencies of other workstreams and ensures appropriate communications to stakeholders.
- Identify and establish all necessary processes, controls, and procedures to ensure that the change programme can be managed effectively.
- Supports Programme Director to ensure all functional requirements are understood and integrated into the broader project plan at the appropriate place and ensuring overall continuity of supply across the project.
- Provide support and challenge to all project team members to help identify key dependencies and interdependencies and ensure robustness of project plans.
- Represents the Project at regular Steering Committee Meetings. Prepares and circulates regular update and reports on progress, as the project demands.
- Develops the Procurement strategy on across all bought categories into the Nigeria site, specifically Raw Material
- Identifies and qualifies new suppliers, aligned to TwO standards for great commerciality, value and ethical requirements, with a focus on Raw Materials
- Critically assesses all supplier capability & capacity
- Creates, builds and sets a benchmark for great standards/ways of working with all suppliers for Ovo Nigeria site
- Ensures delivery of the Capital Procurement schedule, in line with the capital expenditure business case and budget
- Leads best-practice tender processes for third party contracting, alongside partner ARUP
- Creates, builds and sets a benchmark of great ways of working for new supplier set-up for all new suppliers to the Nigeria site – including new contract negotiations, system set up and BCP
- Leads the development of an effective Raw Materials BCP plan for the long term

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A minimum of 12 years experience in FMCG Procurement
- An experienced, strategic Procurement professional project leader, with significant change management experience
- Great project management discipline including strategic planning, understanding of interdependencies, strong communication skills and stakeholder management
- Able to effectively balance the needs of the function with the requirements/deliverables of the project, with a collaborative and commercial mindset
- High resilience, agility and proven delivery of results in a challenging environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Collaborative and adaptive of style to be able to engage, influence and persuade. Be able to work with and engage many different cultures and personalities and interests to deliver the best output for the business
