Position Summary
As a Produced Water Specialist, you will act as a recognised technical expert in produced water management and oil-in-water measurement. You will identify and develop new business opportunities, manage key industry initiatives, and strengthen TÜV SÜD's presence within the global oil and gas sector whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and professional conduct.
Responsibilities And Authority
- Lead, develop, and expand the Produced Water (PW) business activities, including the PW Club, consultancy projects, training programmes, industry conferences, Joint Industry Projects (JIPs) and technology testing initiatives.
- Identify new world areas for growing the PW business an actively pursue new PW business in these areas.
- Build and maintain strong industry relationships to support business development in other areas.
- Represent TÜV SÜD at client meetings, industry events, conferences, and other external engagements.
- Support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies, and procedures.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the business and directed by your line manager.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement regarding operations and the wider organisation.
- Plan and manage travel requirements effectively to support business and client needs.
- Actively promote and maintain safe working practices, ensuring compliance with all TÜV SÜD and client health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Ensure appropriate risk assessments are completed and that all activities are conducted safely and responsibly.
- Instigating your own “stop work” authority if any safety issues are discovered on-site and reporting the findings to the project co-ordinator and site contact, only resuming work when safety is assured.
- Ensuring that all business approved technical and management processes are always followed.
- Ensuring that you can effectively plan requirements for travel and be available to represent the business as required.
- The job holder must always behave in a manner consistent with all applicable local laws, TÜV SÜD Leadership commitments, values and Code of Conduct and actively promote this to others.

Essential Criteria
- Having a strong understanding of the produced water subject areas including oil-in-water measurement.
- Well connected to the PW community.
- Knowing the oil and gas industry well.
- Being capable of developing, initiating and delivering new projects.
- Showing strong communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrating excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge of fluid flow in general.
- General understanding of analytical instrumentation.
- Understanding oil in water monitoring / measurement in areas other than PW.
- Enthusiastic about professional development and continuous improvement.
- Leadership skills.
