Virgin Radio UK

Virgin Radio UK is the home of the Chris Evans Breakfast Show, TFI Friday Unplugged! and a weekend line up featuring The Huey Show, Ana Matronic and Tim Burgess. Our daytime line up includes Emma B, Ben Jones and Geoff Lloyd.

Your role

We’re looking for an experienced Producer to join the Virgin Radio family. This role is perfect for an individual who lives and breathes music. We want creativity and an enthusiasm for radio production, a keen eye for visual media and a vision for the future of this station.

As a Virgin Radio Producer, you will play a pivotal role in creating compelling content by producing on-air gold with diligent show preparation alongside the wider team, ensuring smooth operation of the station’s output.

Day to day you will:

  • Operate studio equipment during live broadcasts to ensure high-quality sound.
  • Lead in the preparation and execution of radio shows throughout the week, including guest coordination, scriptwriting, and managing talent.
  • Collaborate with presenters and other team members to develop engaging content.
  • Support presenters in real time to keep show pacing and energy on mark.
  • Monitor news, entertainment and sport developments to incorporate timely and relevant content into shows.
  • Coordinate with technical staff to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during broadcasts and ensure seamless on-air operations.
  • Contribute creative ideas and innovative approaches to enhance the overall quality of our programming.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Not just any radio producer but a Virgin Radio Producer.
  • A music LOVER, who enjoys 90s, 00s and “bangers” but also has their own unique tastes.
  • An avid gig-goer, festival fanatic and obsessive crate digger.
  • Outgoing people-person energy, with a 360 can-do attitude.
  • Someone with their finger on the pulse with evolving trends on social media and pop culture.
  • An ability to multi-task in a live broadcasting environment.
  • Drive and enthusiasm to work within small and friendly teams.
  • Technical skills and confidence in and outside of the studio.
  • Experience of broadcasting software including Zetta, G-Selector and Burli preferred but not required.
  • Experience of editing in Adobe Audition preferred but not required.
  • Strong editorial judgment with the confidence to pitch creative show ideas.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
