ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Producer (Digital) to lead our live digital news operations and help shape the future of our digital journalism.

This is a senior editorial role responsible for overseeing all live news output across digital platforms, including text, video and social media. Working at the heart of a modern newsroom, you will define publishing priorities, make key editorial decisions and ensure our journalism reaches audiences quickly, accurately and to STV News standards.

You will lead live production, next-day planning, priority story selection and fast-turnaround video production, ensuring teams work together to deliver trusted, engaging and distinctive journalism. You will be accountable for the performance and development of the digital production team and the effective deployment of resources, ensuring editorial priorities, audience needs and organisational objectives are consistently met.

As a senior newsroom leader, you will contribute to the wider operation and strategic development of STV News, helping to drive innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement across our digital journalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
