Role Overview

As a Producer within Formula 1’s Content Production team, you will play a leading role in creating the digital content that brings the sport to life for millions of fans around the world. From breaking news and race weekend storytelling to long-form social first edits, you will help shape how audiences engage with Formula 1 across its global digital platforms.

Working at the center of F1’s fast-paced content operation, you will lead the planning, development, and delivery of innovative video content across a range of formats and channels. Whether you're developing creative concepts, leading teams during race weekends, or refining storytelling approaches, you will be responsible for producing compelling content that informs, entertains, and engages Formula 1’s global fanbase.

You will work closely with Senior Producers, Editors, Motion Designers, freelancers, and stakeholders across the business, bringing together creative, editorial, and operational expertise to deliver world-class content to demanding deadlines. As a key member of the team, you will help drive creative excellence while ensuring content remains relevant, accurate, and aligned with both audience expectations and platform trends.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, creation, and development of Formula 1’s digital video content across both short-form and long-form formats.
  • Develop compelling content ideas and storytelling approaches that engage Formula 1’s global audience.
  • Oversee content through post-production from brief through to final delivery, ensuring projects remain on track and meet creative objectives.
  • Supervise and support Editors, Motion Designers, Producers, and freelance contributors, providing clear creative direction and guidance.
  • Lead content delivery during race weekends, managing teams to create and publish content across a variety of platforms.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, freelancers, and contributors to ensure successful collaboration across projects.
  • Write clear and engaging headlines and publish content across Formula 1’s digital platforms.
  • Ensure all content complies with Formula 1’s internal policies, procedures, and editorial standards.
  • Stay at the forefront of digital content trends, production techniques, and audience behaviors, helping shape the evolution of Formula 1’s content strategy.
  • Oversee final content delivery, ensuring all content is technically robust, factually accurate, and optimized for the intended platform.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of Formula 1 and the wider motorsport landscape, identifying stories, trends, and topics that resonate with audiences.

Experience

Prior to the role, it would be essential that you:

  • Have at least five years’ experience producing video content.
  • Have a proven track record delivering both fast-turnaround and long-form digital or social content.
  • Have experience leading creative projects from concept development through to final delivery.
  • Be confident managing multiple stakeholders, contributors, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Have experience working within deadline-driven production environments.
  • Have experience overseeing content creation across multiple digital platforms.

Qualifications

Not essential to be successful in the role, but you may also have the following qualifications:

  • A qualification in Media Studies or a similar discipline with a focus on video production.
  • Training or experience using non-linear editing platforms, ideally Adobe Creative Suite.

Knowledge & Skills

Prior to the role, it is essential that you demonstrate:

  • The ability to identify and develop engaging content for different audiences and platforms.
  • Experience publishing video, article, and digital content.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.
  • Strong editorial judgement and storytelling skills.
  • Experience writing compelling headlines and content copy for a variety of audiences and channels.
  • Broad knowledge of Formula 1, digital media platforms, and contemporary video production techniques.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working collaboratively across teams.
  • Understanding of current production workflows, equipment, and content creation technologies.
  • Experience managing freelance creative teams.
  • Understanding of audience engagement and content performance across digital channels.

  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Audition.
  • Experience working within sport, motorsport, entertainment, or journalism environments.
  • The ability to create and develop creative briefs, presentations, and pitch materials.
  • Experience writing scripts for video, broadcast, digital, or other multimedia content.
