About Inserval

Inserval is a London-based, FCA authorised insurance and reinsurance broker with access to Lloyd's and international markets.

As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced Producing Broker with an existing and transferable portfolio who can generate new business and develop long-term international relationships through the Inserval platform.

The Opportunity

This role is suited to an entrepreneurial insurance professional with an established portfolio and strong relationships among clients, brokers, agents and insurance markets.

The successful candidate will develop a profitable portfolio and manage business from initial introduction through placement and renewal, working closely with Inserval's leadership, broking, technical and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Introduce and develop business from an existing portfolio and network.
  • Originate new insurance and reinsurance opportunities.
  • Build and manage a sustainable and profitable portfolio.
  • Develop relationships with clients, producing brokers, agents and distribution partners.
  • Work with Lloyd's syndicates, London Market insurers and international markets to secure suitable capacity and competitive terms.
  • Prepare and coordinate clear and complete market submissions.
  • Negotiate coverage, pricing, terms and conditions.
  • Manage business from initial introduction through placement, servicing and renewal.
  • Support colleagues with placement, technical input and client servicing where required.
  • Maintain an accurate and transparent business pipeline.
  • Placement of exiting risks

Desired Experience

  • An existing and transferable portfolio of insurance or reinsurance business.
  • A proven track record in business production and portfolio development.
  • Established relationships with clients, brokers, agents or other distribution partners.
  • Experience working with Lloyd's, the London Market and international insurers or reinsurers.
  • Strong broking, negotiation, presentation and account management skills.
  • The ability to manage business from initial opportunity through placement and renewal.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, commercial discipline and the ability to work independently.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support the wider broking team.
