As Product Analytics Manager at Civica
Data Visualisation leads the transformation of complex, disparate data into actionable insights, driving decision-making across the organisation. This role will define and implement best practices, tools, and frameworks for data visualisation, reporting, and insight generation, enhancing data accessibility, user engagement and overall business impact.
Data Visualisation will ensure effective delivery of data driven insights through scalable and intuitive reporting mechanisms. This role will also be instrumental in identifying and addressing key data challenges, unlocking deeper customer insights, and expanding analytics capabilities to support strategic decision-making and product innovation, working with the Data Analytics team on product reporting. Additionally, this role will grow the company's data storytelling function by developing insight-driven value propositions that enhance customer experience and business outcomes.
The ideal candidate has proven expertise in data visualisation, analytics, and business intelligence, with experience leveraging tools like Tableau, Power BI, SQL, R/Python and Excel. This role requires a balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution, ensuring that data is not only accessible but also impactful, well-communicated, and embedded in decision-making processes across the company.
What You Will Do
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the creation of interactive dashboards, reports, and data storytelling tools that provide real-time insights.
- Standardise reporting and metrics, ensuring we are focusing on the right measures for the right audience.
- Establish and enforce data visualisation best practices, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and user engagement.
- Modernise data presentation to executives, the board, and other stakeholders, utilising interactive, real-time, and high-impact dashboards that enhance decision making and operational efficiency.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to integrate visualisation into SaaS products, enhancing customer experience.
- Develop a data storytelling framework that enhances user understanding and engagement with analytics.
- Work closely with marketing, product, and analytics teams to translate complex insights into digestible, visually compelling stories.
- Create high-impact data presentations, reports, and interactive content for internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish best practices for data communication and train teams on effective storytelling techniques.
- Champion a data-driven culture, ensuring teams have the tools to interpret and communicate insights effectively.

Requirements
- Expertise in data visualisation, content design, and storytelling techniques.
- Ability to simplify complex data insights into compelling and intuitive formats.
- Experience working with executive teams to drive insights adoption.
- Ability to bridge the gap between data science and business strategy, ensuring insights are aligned with company goals.
- Experience in executive-level storytelling, ensuring data is not just presented but drives action and business impact.
- Skilled in translating complex data into compelling narratives for C-suite executives, board members, and investors.
- Proven ability to modernise legacy reporting systems, transitioning from static Excel-based reports to real-time, interactive analytics.
- Understanding of AI-driven analytics and predictive visualisations, incorporating machine learning insights into dashboards.
- Experience in automating reporting and analytics, ensuring efficiency and scalability in a SaaS business model.
- Deep knowledge of product analytics, user behaviour tracking, and customer journey visualisation to drive product decisions.
- Experience working with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to embed data visualization in SaaS products.
- Understanding of customer segmentation, churn analysis, and retention metrics, leveraging data to improve customer experience.
- Expertise in defining and tracking key business KPIs, ensuring data insights align with company OKRs and strategic goals.
- Strong grasp of financial reporting, revenue forecasting, and market trend analysis to drive growth and scalability.
- Ability to interpret and present operational metrics, ensuring leadership understands trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Ability to balance data storytelling for internal leadership and product analytics for external users.
- 10+ years in data visualisation, analytics, business intelligence.

The expected salary range for this role is $115,000 - $140,000 USD annually, with final compensation aligned to experience, skills and geographic location.
