Join us – Product & Application (Cryo Specialist)
Are you passionate about advanced engineering, cryogenic technology, and helping customers solve complex technical challenges?
As a Product & Application (Cryo Specialist), you will join the General Vacuum (GV) EMEA Customer Centre, part of Edwards, an Atlas Copco Group company, supporting customers and internal teams across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
You will become the subject matter expert for cryogenic pumps and related systems within the Customer Centre, acting as a first and second point of contact for aftersales technical enquiries. Working closely with customers, distributors, Sales and Service teams, you will play a key role in troubleshooting complex technical issues, delivering specialist support, sharing technical knowledge, and developing training programmes to build expertise across the region.

Primary Specialism
Cryogenic pump systems, associated machinery, components and applications.
Complex diagnostics
Diagnose complex issues using technical manuals, drawings, SOPs and P&IDs to identify appropriate solutions and corrective actions.
Parts & application expertise
Provide specialist guidance on component identification, selection and application for cryogenic pumps and associated equipment.
Training & knowledge sharing
Deliver technical training on vacuum principles and cryogenic technologies to employees, partners and customers.
Digital technical support
Provide remote technical assistance through Service Eye and GENIUS, supporting customers and internal teams across the EMEA region.
Technical expertise
Maintain and continuously develop specialist knowledge of cryogenic products, systems, components and applications, becoming the go-to expert within the Customer Centre.

- Act as the first or second point of contact for aftersales technical enquiries relating to cryogenic pump systems and associated equipment.
- Take ownership of complex technical cases from initial assessment through to resolution, coordinating escalations where required.
- Provide expert technical support on cryogenic pumps, equipment, systems and applications across Edwards and Atlas Copco Vacuum brands.
- Diagnose complex technical issues using manuals, technical drawings, SOPs and P&IDs. Support Sales, Service and CVC teams with technical guidance, documentation, component selection, warranty cases and quality-related enquiries.
- Deliver remote technical assistance through digital tools such as Service Eye and GENIUS, as well as occasional on-site support.
- Develop and deliver training on vacuum technology and cryogenic applications for employees, partners and customers.
- Drive continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and technical excellence across the EMEA region.
To succeed, you will need
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a technical support, engineering, service or applications role.
- Technical background in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Cryogenic Technology, Vacuum Technology, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with vacuum systems, cryogenic pumps or similar industrial equipment is highly desirable.
- Experience delivering technical training to internal and external audiences would be an advantage.
Key Skills & Additional Requirements
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively within a remote international team.
- Proactive mindset with excellent organizational skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and experience working with ERP systems such as SAP.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally across the EMEA region.
- Valid driving licence.

Job location
We are open to candidates based across the UK.
Occasional travels to customer sites, training events and workshops will be required
