Job Description: Product Application Specialist – Northern Europe

Location: United Kingdom/Northern Europe
Reporting To: Regional Direct Sales Manager
Travel Requirement: Regular travel across Northern Europe

Position Summary

Genea Biomedx is seeking a highly motivated Product Application Specialist to support the adoption, and commercial growth of our IVF laboratory technologies across Northern Europe.

This role will act as the key connection between customers, commercial teams, product management, and internal technical teams. The successful candidate will provide scientific expertise, clinical application support, customer training, and workflow optimization while actively contributing to sales development and business growth within the region.

The ideal candidate will combine strong IVF scientific knowledge with a customer-focused and commercially driven mindset, supporting both existing customer success and new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific & Clinical Application Support

  • Provide expert scientific, clinical, and technical support to IVF laboratories and customers.
  • Support successful product implementation, onboarding, and adoption at customer sites.
  • Deliver product and application training to embryologists, clinicians, customers, and distributor partners.
  • Assist customers in integrating Genea Biomedx technologies into existing laboratory workflows.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for product, application, and workflow-related questions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with embryologists, clinicians, KOLs, and key customer stakeholders.

  • Conduct regular customer visits across Northern Europe to strengthen customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the local scientific and application expert supporting customer needs.
  • Identify customer challenges, collect feedback, and provide recommendations to improve customer experience and product utilization.
  • Provide market insights and customer feedback to Product Management, R&D, Marketing, and Commercial Teams.

Sales & Business Development Support

  • Support regional sales growth by identifying new opportunities through customer engagement.
  • Partner with the commercial team to develop customer relationships and progress sales opportunities.
  • Deliver scientific presentations, product demonstrations, and value-based discussions to support sales conversion.
  • Support sales meetings, customer evaluations, tenders, and commercial projects.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.

Product Demonstrations & Workflow Optimization

  • Conduct product demonstrations for prospective customers, existing customers, KOLs, and partners.
  • Assess laboratory workflows and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support product evaluations, clinical validation activities, and customer adoption projects.
  • Promote best practices to maximize product performance and customer outcomes.

Conferences, Training & Marketing Support

  • Represent Genea Biomedx at regional and international conferences, workshops, and customer events.
  • Deliver scientific presentations, webinars, and customer education programs.
  • Support marketing activities by providing scientific content and customer insights.
  • Provide internal product/application training to sales teams and cross-functional colleagues.

Internal Projects & Product Development Support

  • Participate in internal projects related to product improvement, customer experience, and commercial growth.
  • Collect structured customer feedback and communicate product enhancement opportunities.
  • Work closely with Product Management and R&D teams to support future product development.
  • Support global initiatives when required.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Embryology, Reproductive Biology, Life Sciences, Clinical Sciences, or related field.
  • Hands-on IVF laboratory experience as an Embryologist strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IVF workflows, laboratory operations, and assisted reproductive technologies.
  • Experience in clinical application support, product training, customer support, or technical roles preferred.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to identify customer needs and support sales activities.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage customers across multiple countries.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Northern Europe

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IVF laboratory equipment, time-lapse incubation systems, AI-assisted embryo assessment tools, witnessing systems, or related technologies.
  • Previous experience supporting sales teams or contributing to business development activities.
  • Experience presenting at conferences, workshops, webinars, or customer training events.
