About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CAD Draughtsperson to join the design and product development team of a highly respected luxury lighting and furniture brand.
This is a 12-month contract role focused on an exciting project to digitally document and standardise their extensive back catalogue of furniture and lighting products. You will use SolidWorks to recreate existing physical products as accurate 3D models and technical drawings, ensuring their designs are properly documented and ready for manufacturing, specification, and internal use. The role could be particularly well suited to a recent Product Design graduate looking to develop their CAD and technical skills within a luxury design environment. Ideally you will have your own transport as they are based outside the town so not close to the station.

The Product CAD Technician's Role:
- Creating accurate 3D models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks.
- Producing detailed manufacturing, assembly, component, and exploded-view drawings.
- Reviewing and updating existing drawings to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Maintaining organized drawing files, revisions, and product information.
- Using Excel to manage drawing registers and documentation.
- Ensuring technical drawings meet internal standards and are suitable for manufacture and supplier communication.

Skills Needed for the Product CAD Technician's Role:
- Proficient in SolidWorks and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience producing detailed technical and assembly drawings, ideally including GAs and exploded views.
- A good understanding of manufacturing processes for furniture, lighting, or similar physical products.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and comfortable working collaboratively with design and technical teams.
What's on Offer?
- £28,000 to £30,000 salary plus an annual bonus
- Pension scheme
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
