Purpose of the role
Support Camira’s strategic vision by maintaining current and future product specifications, helping to ensure high levels of accuracy, quality and performance, and develop the business’s USP as a market leader in product sustainability.
The day to day
- To adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements
- Accurately maintain technical specifications across both the contract and transport business sectors, ensuring that all associated technical marketing materials, including the Camira website, are accurate and correct.
- Manage all external material testing, including certificate updates for all of Camira’s current and future markets, ensuring that costs and lead times are minimised.
- Prepare and submit all applications and documentation for new product applications and re-certification existing products for product sustainability standards e.g. EU Ecolabel, Oeko-Tex, Indoor Advantage Gold.
- Monitor product performance in line with internal and ISO 9001 requirements, meeting required testing schedules to support technical claims, escalating non-conformances accordingly.
- Build and maintain relationships with external and internal customers, suppliers and stakeholders. Be actively involved in wider ranging compliance and sustainability initiatives to promote the teams both internally and externally.
- Complete and submit technical documentation, environmental questionnaires, and product declarations in support of internal and external customers, collating relevant data and documents to underpin appropriate evidence-based practices in conjunction with regulatory and customer requirements.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide advice and guidance on test standards, product performance, and sustainability / regulatory requirements, gaining recognition as an expert in the fields covered by the position.

Other Considerations
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks.
- Due to nature of role, position will be regularly based between two Camira sites (Meltham, Mirfield), with home working days also available.
- Occasional travel to suppliers, events / conferences, and educational outreach will be needed and encouraged.
