What you would do as our Product Compliance Engineer

As a Product Compliance Engineer, reporting to the Product Compliance Team Leader, you will support the global compliance of products developed under the Traka and KEYper Systems brands. Working closely with electronics, mechanical and sustaining engineering teams, you will help ensure products meet international regulatory, safety, environmental and cybersecurity requirements throughout their lifecycle. This role combines engineering knowledge with strong research, organisational and document control skills, supporting both new product development and ongoing product improvements.

You would also be responsible:

  • Supporting global product compliance activities across the EU, UK, US, APAC and EMEIA regions.
  • Coordinating product testing, certification and connectivity approvals with external laboratories and certification bodies.
  • Maintaining technical files, declarations, test reports, certificates, software records and other compliance documentation.
  • Monitoring and interpreting relevant legislation, standards and emerging sustainability or environmental requirements.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams, suppliers and external stakeholders to identify, implement and maintain compliance requirements.

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a degree, HNC/HND in Engineering, Electronics, Product Compliance or a related discipline, with at least 3 years of experience in an engineering or product compliance role.
  • Has knowledge of electronic product compliance requirements, including EMC, radio, electrical safety, materials compliance, REACH and RoHS.
  • Can confidently review product designs, drawings, specifications, software configurations and test evidence to support regulatory compliance activities.
  • Demonstrates strong research, analytical, document control and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Is adaptable and curious, with an interest in working across electronics, mechanical engineering, software, quality, procurement, sustainability and cybersecurity topics.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with EMC test laboratories and supporting issue resolution activities.
  • Familiarity with IEC 62368-1 product safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of product cybersecurity, RED and Cyber Resilience Act compliance requirements.
  • Experience collecting and managing supplier, materials, sustainability or product carbon footprint data.
