Role Overview

The successful candidate will support compliance activities for a range of electro-mechanical products and work closely with engineering, suppliers, and testing laboratories to ensure products comply with international regulations and standards.

Position Details

Title: Product Compliance Engineer

Location: Brierley Hill, DY5 1UT

Contract: 6 Months Initial Contract

Extension: Likely

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrange and coordinate product testing and certification activities
  • Gather technical and compliance data from suppliers
  • Produce and maintain compliance reports and documentation
  • Support product teams with regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Liaise with external test houses and certification bodies
  • Ensure products meet applicable standards across multiple global markets
  • Drive compliance activities with minimal supervision

Required Experience

  • Product Compliance / Regulatory Compliance Engineering background
  • Electro-mechanical product experience
  • Experience managing testing and certification programmes
  • Strong understanding of international standards and regulations
  • Experience working with suppliers and third-party testing laboratories
  • Ability to work independently and proactively

Preferred Knowledge

  • UK, European, USA, Australian and Middle East product compliance requirements
  • CE / UKCA / EMC / Electrical Safety / RoHS / REACH / FCC or similar standards
  • Robotics or automated product experience would be advantageous
