Role Overview
The successful candidate will support compliance activities for a range of electro-mechanical products and work closely with engineering, suppliers, and testing laboratories to ensure products comply with international regulations and standards.
Position Details
Title: Product Compliance Engineer
Location: Brierley Hill, DY5 1UT
Contract: 6 Months Initial Contract
Extension: Likely
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange and coordinate product testing and certification activities
- Gather technical and compliance data from suppliers
- Produce and maintain compliance reports and documentation
- Support product teams with regulatory and compliance requirements
- Liaise with external test houses and certification bodies
- Ensure products meet applicable standards across multiple global markets
- Drive compliance activities with minimal supervision

Required Experience
- Product Compliance / Regulatory Compliance Engineering background
- Electro-mechanical product experience
- Experience managing testing and certification programmes
- Strong understanding of international standards and regulations
- Experience working with suppliers and third-party testing laboratories
- Ability to work independently and proactively

Preferred Knowledge
- UK, European, USA, Australian and Middle East product compliance requirements
- CE / UKCA / EMC / Electrical Safety / RoHS / REACH / FCC or similar standards
- Robotics or automated product experience would be advantageous
