Shape the work behind some of the world’s most loved sport, outdoor and lifestyle brands.
At Pentland Brands, every role helps move our brands forward. Whether you’re supporting our people, improving our systems, growing our commercial performance, strengthening operations or shaping better ways of working, your impact reaches across a portfolio of iconic brands used by consumers around the world.
Role Overview
As our Product Compliance Manager, you’ll play a key role in making sure our products are safe, compliant and ready for market across the UK, EU and our international markets outside the Americas.
Working closely with our brands, sourcing teams, suppliers and Legal, you’ll turn regulatory requirements into practical action across the product lifecycle. Reporting to the Head of Product Compliance & Stewardship, you’ll be the hands-on compliance expert ensuring our standards are consistently delivered and that we’re ready for both existing and emerging regulation.
Responsibilities
- Own product compliance requirements across the UK, EU and other non-Americas markets, covering market access, product safety, chemicals, labelling and testing.
- Translate regulatory requirements into clear, practical actions for brand, product, sourcing and supplier teams.
- Lead the delivery of ESPR and Digital Product Passport requirements across your markets, ensuring the business is ready for emerging regulation.
- Apply chemical compliance requirements including REACH, PFAS, POPs and Restricted Substances Lists to product development, testing and supplier decisions.
- Manage product testing and compliance protocols, ensuring products meet applicable regulatory and market requirements.
- Lead the operational response to product recalls, coordinating activity across Legal, brand and relevant business teams.
- Manage regulator engagement relating to product compliance issues and recalls, ensuring actions are properly documented and closed out.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to identify and resolve compliance issues before they become barriers to market.
- Monitor compliance readiness and emerging risks, providing clear information to support senior-level regulatory reporting and decision-making.
- Help strengthen and continuously improve product compliance processes, controls and ways of working across the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
