Overview

We’re looking for a detail-driven Product Content Coordinator to help create a smooth and informative shopping experience for our customers. In this role, you’ll review and refine product information and imagery, ensuring our product pages are clear, accurate and engaging.

You’ll work closely with internal teams and suppliers, supporting new product launches, product updates and ongoing improvements that help our customers make quick, confident buying decisions.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with product information, has a keen eye for detail and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving retail environment.

This is a 6 - month fixed term contract/Secondment opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Check and edit written product copy to align with style guidelines, business tone of voice, and search optimisation (SEO & GEO) criteria for the Screwfix website, app, and other digital publications.
  • Review product images and other digital assets to ensure they meet size, resolution, and style guidelines, assessing their suitability for publication and determining if retouching or editing can be applied to avoid rejection.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across product data for your categories, proactively identifying and correcting discrepancies, throughout the product lifecycle
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Trading team for your categories, ensuring open dialogue to address challenges and align on priorities
  • Build strong working relationships with your vendors, ensuring they are clear on your product content requirements, offering guidance on the PIM and internal procedures
  • Embrace and adopt new tools and technologies, to enhance content quality, improve efficiency, and support faster speed to market.
  • Use analytical tools to monitor category performance, draw actionable insights, and optimise product content to increase engagement and conversion
  • Suggest and support process improvements to enhance data flow, accuracy, and efficiency across the product range.
  • Take ownership of personal development, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance your skills and expertise.
  • Contribute to team objectives with a positive, solutions-focused attitude, and undertake ad-hoc tasks as required by your Line Manager.

Qualifications

  • Computer literate, with Microsoft Office and content management system/PIM experience
  • Fluency in English with proofreading or copy-editing experience
  • Strong eye for detail – when dealing with product copy and image content
  • An interest in AI and willingness to embrace fluency
  • Being agile in fast-paced retail environments and have an aptitude for embracing change
  • An understanding of ecommerce product content
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new processes, technologies, and software platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including confidence to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
