Role Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and controlling product data in SAP PLM, including mechanical and electrical Bills of Materials (BOMs), component master data, and engineering change processes (ECR/ECO). The role requires strong attention to detail, data accuracy, stakeholder coordination, and an understanding of product lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and structure mechanical and electrical BOMs within SAP PLM.
  • Manage component master data, including attributes, classifications, documentation, and revision control.
  • Administer Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Ensure product data complies with business, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Support engineering teams by implementing approved design changes within PLM systems.
  • Conduct data audits and validation checks to maintain data integrity.
  • Perform document control activities, including version management and release processes.
  • Support configuration management and product lifecycle governance activities.
  • Produce reports and data extracts for Engineering, Procurement, and Quality teams.
  • Act as a key contact for SAP PLM queries and user support.

Core Skills and Experience Required

Technical Skills

  • SAP PLM experience (essential or highly desirable).
  • BOM creation and maintenance.
  • Master data management.
  • Engineering change management (ECR/ECO processes).
  • Document control and revision management.
  • Reporting and data analysis.
  • Understanding of configuration management principles.

Key Competencies

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
