Role purpose
The key purpose of the Product Delivery Manager is to manage current renewable and other energy projects, push optimum performance outputs while adhering to government standards, and support design and technical assessments for new project deliveries. This role entails managing and optimising Vicinity’s solar infrastructure platform to deliver returns in line with growth targets. It involves reviewing and developing end-to-end feasibilities for the expansion of the renewable energy program through the development and solar pipeline across Vicinity. Additionally, the role requires managing subcontractor engagement and suppliers to promote performance, coordinating fault rectification, and embedding these processes at the program and project levels to drive better outcomes. The Product Delivery Manager improves technical oversight frameworks and approaches to developing strategies and innovative business models for energy-related initiatives, including measuring and reporting product delivery outcomes and managing a diverse range of stakeholders. This role is critical in supporting upstream and downstream activities such as development, procurement, and operations to ensure continuity of service and continuous improvement. The Product Delivery Manager also contributes to other initiatives within the energy team, including embedded network projects, energy project management activities, and broader energy initiatives to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Key Accountabilities
System Performance & Operational Excellence
- Perform constant system performance management to maximise energy generation and income while minimising operational costs.
- Coordinate fault rectification, working with subcontractors and suppliers to promote high performance and embed improvements at both program and project levels.
- Develop and implement frameworks to ensure the ongoing operational effectiveness of energy systems, driving better outcomes for Vicinity.
Renewable Energy Project Management
- Manage and support the end-to-end delivery of current renewable energy projects, ensuring adherence to government standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct and review feasibility studies for the expansion of renewable energy programs, including the development and solar pipeline across Vicinity.
- Oversee the design and technical assessments for new project deliveries, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Support
- Engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors and suppliers, to ensure the successful delivery of energy-related initiatives.
- Report on milestones, system performance, and energy strategy outcomes to senior stakeholders, providing critical inputs into the Integrated Energy Strategy.
- Act as a cross-functional energy partner, contributing to embedded network projects, energy project management activities, and other initiatives within the energy team as required.

Experience & Capabilities
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE (what you have done)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in managing renewable energy projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Extensive experience in optimising solar infrastructure and conducting feasibility studies for renewable energy programs.
- Demonstrated experience in managing subcontractors, coordinating fault rectification, and engaging with stakeholders.
CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE (what you need to know)
- Deep understanding of renewable energy systems, including solar infrastructure and energy management principles.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards related to renewable energy projects.
- Familiarity with financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
- Insight into current trends and innovations in renewable energy technologies and project delivery.
CAPABILITIES (what you can do)
- Ability to oversee and manage renewable energy projects from inception to completion, ensuring optimal performance.
- Proficient in optimising solar infrastructure and conducting technical assessments for new project deliveries.
- Skilled in engaging with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success and maintain positive relationships.
- Capable of developing and implementing strategies to maximise income generation and reduce operational costs.
- Adept at researching emerging energy trends and developing innovative solutions for renewable energy projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges, coordinate fault rectification, and ensure continuity of service.
