At Zepf Technologies UK, we specialise in the design and manufacture of precision container handling change parts used by some of the world's leading FMCG packaging and manufacturing companies.
As demand for our solutions continues to grow, we are looking for an ambitious Product Designer / Design Engineer to join our engineering team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects from initial customer enquiry through to manufacture, installation support and final delivery.

What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of the engineering team, you will:
- Develop bespoke mechanical design solutions for global customers
- Conduct customer site surveys throughout the UK and internationally
- Create 3D models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor
- Manage projects from concept through to manufacture and installation
- Work directly with customers to understand requirements and deliver practical engineering solutions
- Produce Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical documentation and purchase requisitions
- Participate in design reviews and technical meetings
- Support manufacturing teams and installation engineers
- Use CAM software to programme CNC-machined components
- Ensure designs meet quality, safety and manufacturing requirements

What We're Looking For
Essential
- HNC (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a mechanical design role
- Proven experience using Autodesk Inventor
- Strong understanding of engineering design and manufacturing processes
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and internationally

Desirable
- Experience within packaging, automation, bottling or materials handling industries
- Knowledge of CNC machining and CAM programming
- Experience conducting customer site surveys
- Customer-facing engineering experience
