Product Design Engineer - Glasgow

Are you passionate about creating innovative solutions and shaping the future of engineering? Our client, a reputable leader in their industry, is seeking a talented Product Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects and work with a forward-thinking organisation committed to excellence.

This role covers product design from concept through to production, ensuring functionality, quality, and manufacturability. You'll work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, creating CAD models and prototypes to validate designs, conducting design reviews and testing against technical and safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement to optimise performance and cost.

Essential Experience

  • Formal engineering qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in product design within an engineering or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software and 3D modelling tools.
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
