We are looking for a talented Product Design Technician to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Engine Business in the Darlington, County Durham, United Kingdom.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Deliver high-quality CAD models and drawings that meet company, industry, and international standards, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability.
- Create and maintain detailed product specifications using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing to clearly define design intent.
- Ensure configuration control by effectively using CAD data management tools to maintain product integrity and security.
- Validate designs by creating assemblies and checking fit and function with mating parts before release.
- Support engineering teams by generating concept models and contributing to design solutions that meet performance and lifecycle requirements.
- Lead or participate in Drawing and Design Reviews to improve quality and drive continuous improvement in design practices.
- Mentor and train less experienced Product Designers, raising overall team capability and consistency.
- Prioritize and coordinate Product Design Technician work, ensuring engineering requests are ready, organized, and delivered efficiently.
