About Right Formula

At Right Formula, we enable brands to push the limits of sports marketing through a unique blend of expertise, ingenuity, and agility that we call the Right Formula. Our complete 360-degree service offering takes brands from partnership identification through to the delivery of fully integrated marketing strategies. With offices in the UK and the US, we support clients worldwide, helping them to accelerate growth through the power of sport.

We recently launched our technology division and are building a SaaS platform that will redefine how brands and rights holders work in sports marketing. This is an exciting time to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial team at the ground floor of something genuinely new.

The opportunity

We are looking for a Product Designer who is ready to make their mark. This is not a role for someone who wants to colour within the lines. You will be a founding voice in our product design culture; someone who challenges assumptions, shapes ways of working, and takes genuine ownership of the user experience across our digital platforms, client, and guest experiences.

Working directly within our product team, you will collaborate closely with Client Services and Client Success Management teams to design thoughtful, value-driven solutions that serve both our clients and the business. With a live product already in the market and more in the pipeline, there is real work to do from day one.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead end-to-end UX design: From discovery and concept through to polished, production-ready interfaces
  • Build and evolve our design system and component library, establishing consistent standards that scale as the product grows
  • Run user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to ground design decisions in real insight
  • Work together with product and engineering in an agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and continuous iteration
  • Partner with Client Success Managers to translate client feedback and business requirements into user-centred design solutions
  • Help define and champion our product design process including tooling, documentation, critique, and ways of working
  • Contribute to information architecture, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups across web and potentially mobile surfaces
  • Proactively identify UX debt and opportunities for improvement, bringing a strategic lens to prioritisation conversations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

About you

You are entrepreneurial by nature. You thrive in ambiguity, enjoy building things from scratch, and take pride in moving quickly without sacrificing quality. You ask why before you ask how, and you are as comfortable presenting a rationale to a client.

You'll bring:

  • A genuine curiosity about users, problems, and systems. You investigate before you design
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to present and defend your design decisions to varied audiences, including clients
  • The ability to work independently, managing and communicating your workload effectively
  • A collaborative spirit that brings people along with you, whether you are working with engineers, account managers, or senior stakeholders
  • Actively seek feedback and process it constructively and use it to make valuable enhancements
  • A strategic mindset that keeps the bigger picture in view while sweating the details that matter
  • Mission-driven motivation: You care about the impact of your work, not just the output

What we're looking for

Essential:

  • Figma - confident across components, auto-layout, variants, prototyping, and developer handoff
  • Miro for collaborative workshops and journey mapping
  • Design systems and component libraries - experience creating or contributing to a shared design language
  • Information architecture and interaction design fundamentals
  • Prototyping at varying levels of fidelity to test and communicate ideas

Desirable:

  • User research methods - interviews, usability testing, surveys, synthesis, and affinity mapping
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices
  • Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML/CSS) to facilitate smoother collaboration with engineers
  • Experience working with or within agile teams using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar
  • Knowledge of analytics and data visualisation tools to inform design decisions
  • Motion design or micro-interaction experience
  • SaaS or B2B product design background

Experience & Background

  • Proven experience of UX/product design experience, ideally within a SaaS or digital product environment
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strategic thinking, strong visual craft, and a clear design process - not just polished deliverables
  • Experience working in fast-paced, early-stage, or scale-up environments is a distinct advantage
  • Exposure to client-facing work or working alongside commercial teams is highly desirable

Why Right Formula

  • Join at a pivotal moment - you will help shape the design culture and ways of working from the ground up
  • Real influence over product direction, not just execution
  • A genuinely collaborative team that values ideas over hierarchy
  • The energy of a startup with the backing and reputation of an established agency
  • Work at the intersection of sport, brand, and technology — a rare and exciting combination

If you are the kind of designer who wants to build something meaningful, challenge the status quo, and leave a real mark on a product people use — we would love to hear from you.
