The role
We're looking for a mid-level Product Designer to join our growing design team and help shape the next stage of Isla's product experience.
Reporting to our Product Design Lead and partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and our Clinical Safety Officer, you'll play a key role in improving UX and UI across our product.
You'll help create the conditions for great design to thrive: advocating for strong design-led thinking, improving design practices, and ensuring design remains an enabler rather than a bottleneck as we scale.
What you'll do

- Ensure user needs are represented throughout the product development process, from early discovery and problem definition through to delivery and iteration
- Influence our approach to AI - explore and experiment with AI tools within the design workflow, helping identify practical ways they can improve speed, quality and collaboration
- Work closely with our Engineers to drive forward our design system, ensuring it is usable, accessible, and AI-ready
- Improve UX quality across the platform - proactively identify friction, inconsistencies, and opportunities to simplify workflows and improve the overall user experience

Iβm in my final year doing Economics and I donβt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer β it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donβt need a masters. Letβs look at the ones youβd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
