About Teton
On a night shift, three carers can be responsible for a hundred residents, each behind a closed door. Teton tells them what’s going on in every room, so they know who to check on first.
We put a sensor in the ceiling of each room: an infrared camera wired to a small computer. The computer turns what the camera sees into facts, like who is in bed, how fast someone is breathing, or whether someone has fallen. Then the video is deleted.
We train one model in our office and copy it to every device, so every site improves at once. Staff get the facts through a mobile app on the floor, a desktop app for leaders and planning, and a screen on the wall. Around that sits the service: installation, onboarding, training, and a support chat any member of staff can use.
Around 10,000 care staff use Teton in care homes and hospitals in Denmark, the UK, the US and Switzerland. Many of the falls we help prevent come from staff seeing what’s going on and planning their shift around it, rather than from alarms.
The Role
You’ll design the apps care staff use every day, from the alarm a carer hears in the corridor to the overview a regional nurse uses for every home they cover. You’ll report to Julius, who leads design, work alongside Balazs, our other product designer, and build directly with our engineers.
You’ll work with the AI team that trains our models and the engineers who run them at the edge, on what the models can see and how it reaches staff. Few product design jobs sit this close to the technology.
Most of our users are floor staff, and many are new or temporary. Most never go deeper into the app than reacting when something happens, so it can’t have a learning curve. A smaller group of leaders, nurses and physiotherapists dig into the data, and the same product has to serve both.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you’ll work on:
- Agency with oversight. Staff engage when they can act on what they know and are accountable for it, and that engagement is what makes the product work for residents. Leaders and regulators still need to see who changed what, and why. We haven’t worked out how to give staff that agency without losing the oversight.
- The same facts at every level. A night carer can finish a shift thinking it went well, then hear from a manager about a problem that was only visible on an executive’s dashboard. Everyone from floor staff to executives should see the same facts about a home, at the level of detail their job needs.
- Health data people can read. We track sleep, breathing, movement and more for every resident, but most staff aren’t used to reading a respiration trend. We haven’t solved how to make a month of data useful at a glance.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years designing software people use daily, ideally a product that had to stay coherent as it grew.
- Precision. You structure things well: information architecture, states, edge cases, components. You can say exactly what a design does and why.
- You go and see. You’ll fly to customers in Denmark, the UK and the US, sometimes for a night shift. You look forward to it, and what you see changes your designs.
- You learn how the technology works. Some things are hard for any camera to tell apart, like a visitor and a member of staff. You find out where those limits are and design with them in mind.
- You help define the problem. When a brief is unclear, you work it out with engineers and product instead of waiting, then pick what it needs: a site visit, a prototype, or just building it.
- You prototype in code. We expect it, and beyond that you can work however you like. If you can also ship front-end work in React or our component library, even better.
