Role Overview

We build the ads products that help App developers and Gaming advertisers acquire high-value users at scale — driving ~10% of Meta revenue. Our work spans App Prospecting, Value Optimization, App Sales, Formats, and 3rd-Party Supply via Audience Network. The design team is London-based, partnering closely with PMs, Engineering and Sales. Build deep, productive relationships with FB & IG design teams to drive App Ads solutions across Meta's most important surfaces. This isn't coordination work. You'll need genuine craft credibility to influence teams you don't report into, the communication skills to shape roadmaps you don't own, and the strategic sense to spot where App advertiser needs are underserved across surfaces. You'll also partner with a fellow senior designer to ensure the Ads Manager experience for App advertisers is coherent end-to-end — so that big bets (often built web-first) serve App use cases as first-class citizens.

Responsibilities

  • Own the FoA design relationship and drive App Ads on those surfaces — Build trusted relationships with FB and IG design teams.
  • Understand their priorities, earn influence through craft, and ensure App Ads use cases are championed in their roadmaps.
  • Propose and design solutions — bringing the advertiser perspective they don't always have.
  • Carve out new opportunities tied to business outcomes — This isn't a predefined backlog.
  • You'll identify ways to unlock advertiser performance — reducing friction to install and driving in-app events, enabling high-value creative formats — and connect every idea to top-line revenue goals.
  • Partner to drive Ads Manager coherence — Partner with senior designers to ensure App's highest-priority initiatives (Value Products, Playables, SOT Alignment, 1P Formats) land well on the surfaces that matter.
  • Navigate complexity with clarity — The App Ads ecosystem involves multiple optimisation products, cross-platform signals, and competitive dynamics that shift quarterly.
  • Hold that complexity while producing work that is clear, compelling, and actionable for partner teams with their own priorities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 6+ years designing software products with a focus on user experience, interaction, and visual design that meet business objectives
  • Craft that earns influence — Your systems-level design and execution are strong enough that senior FB/IG designers want to collaborate with you. You build trust quickly through the quality of your work
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication — You find mutual wins with partner teams and communicate sharply across sessions, critiques, proposals, and reviews
  • Proven ability to navigate extreme complexity — You thrive in ambiguity, bringing clarity to deeply interconnected systems with many stakeholders
  • Product sense that runs ahead of the brief — You proactively identify unmet needs, propose solutions, and ship work tied to business outcomes. A product partner, not a downstream executor that builds capacity in your PM
  • Defaults to collective outcomes — You share ideas generously, pick up work between the cracks, and prioritise team impact over personal credit — essential in a cross-boundary role
