Founding Product Designer - AI Native - Next Generation FinTech
One of the coolest Product Design roles I've worked on in a long time.
I'm looking for an exceptional, AI native Founding Product Designer to join a cutting edge, early stage FinTech developing technology that could genuinely change how we pay.
About the Role
You'll be joining at an incredibly early stage. The company is only around 10 people, has raised multiple millions in seed funding and already has a healthy base of live customers.
This isn't a conventional Product Design role. You'll take real ownership of design across digital products, merchant software, native apps, customer experiences and payment hardware.
Responsibilities
- You won't simply decide what something should look like and hand it over to Engineering.
- You'll take fuzzy ideas from 0 to 1, using AI to explore, prototype, build and help ship real products.

Requirements
You'll need;
- Exceptional product and visual design craft
- A portfolio full of simple, clean and beautifully executed work
- Evidence of taking products from 0 to 1 and actually shipping them
- A genuinely AI native approach to designing, prototyping and building
- Technical fluency and some coding knowledge, including the ability to read and understand basic code, not just vibe code
- Strong systems thinking and the confidence to work through ambiguity
- An experimental mindset, ideally demonstrated through side projects, prototypes and things you've built simply because you wanted to explore an idea
The sweet spot is someone with around 2 to 5 years' commercial experience. They're not looking for someone incredibly senior. They want an ambitious, high potential designer who is exceptional for their level and hungry for the responsibility of shaping design from the beginning.

Your side projects and self initiated work could be every bit as important as your commercial experience. This is for the kind of person who builds things in their spare time, experiments with new tools and has side projects galore.
You could come from Product Design, industrial design or another technical creative background.
What matters is that your portfolio demonstrates both exceptional taste and the ability to turn ideas into working products.
