About Plasma
Plasma is building the primary account for global money. Money used to belong to a country. Increasingly, it belongs to a person or business moving through many countries. People and businesses now earn, spend, save, hire and invest across borders. Traditional banks cannot serve this new world.
Our first product, Plasma One, is a global money account: a place to receive, hold, send funds in seconds, earn yield and spend with a card in the local economy.
Underneath is the Plasma network, built from first principles for stablecoin payments. Stablecoins make dollars faster, cheaper and more reliable to move.
The opportunity is to become where all global money lands first: where income arrives, balances grow, payments move, businesses operate, and new financial products are built.
The Team & Our Story
We are a global team of founders, operators and engineers, obsessed with building the best products. We work at the cutting edge of financial innovation, using stablecoins to create tools for consumers and businesses.
We operate with trust, clarity, and ambition: own your craft, move with urgency, contribute beyond your lane, back your teammates, debate rigorously, and keep raising the bar for what great means.
The Context
The design team at Plasma is small by choice. Two senior designers currently cover the whole of Plasma One, from core money movement flows through to the design system. You would be the third.
Design is a first-class input here. It shapes product direction, technical tradeoffs, and whether people trust us with their money.
You would help decide how design actually works: how decisions get made, how work is reviewed, how quality holds up under speed, and how a coherent system takes shape as the product grows. There is no process to inherit and no large team to hide inside. What you build becomes the standard.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The team works closely with engineering and the growth team. Designers at Plasma are expected to think in systems, understand real constraints, and push for clarity where ambiguity is expensive. The bar is high, feedback is direct, and the impact is visible quickly.
This suits someone who wants autonomy and responsibility, who wants to build the product that changes how money moves, and the team behind it.
The Work
- Own the Plasma experience. Invent new features and shape how Plasma One feels to use, taking ideas from concept to launch. Turn the advantages of stablecoins and blockchain into experiences that make people’s financial lives better.
- Extend your abilities with AI. Use AI as a core tool to explore more ambitious ideas, build functional prototypes, and push what you can design and deliver.
- Bring ideas to life. Turn abstract concepts into working coded prototypes, then collaborate with engineers who share your attention to detail to bring them into production. Refine microinteractions, motion, and visual polish together.
- Evolve the design system. Build reusable components and interaction patterns that keep the product coherent as it grows, with design and implementation aligned.
- Learn from real use. Combine research, usability testing, and product data to discover opportunities and improve what you ship.
The Bar
- Substantial consumer product experience. Typically 6+ years in product design, including shipped native iOS and/or Android work and meaningful contributions to a design system.
- A portfolio with exceptional craft. Show us the details you refined, the reasoning behind them, and your contribution to the finished product. We want to understand your taste and how you decide when an experience is ready.
- Confidence with functional prototyping. You can make an idea tangible enough to test its behaviour and communicate the intended experience to engineers. Understanding or writing code is a bonus, not a requirement.
- Sound product judgment. You can explain how user evidence changed a decision, what you chose to prioritise, and what happened after launch. You are comfortable making progress when the brief is incomplete.
- Direct, thoughtful collaboration. You make your reasoning easy to follow, give specific feedback, and can disagree constructively. You know when to work independently and when to bring others into a decision.
