Product Designer – AI
About NTT DATA and Tangity
NTT DATA is a trusted global innovator with over 100,000 professionals in 50+ countries. Headquartered in Tokyo, we bring elements of our Japanese heritage—precision, long-term thinking, and social responsibility—into our UK work. In the UK, we work across telecoms, financial services, manufacturing, and the public sector, delivering end-to-end services from strategy to implementation.
Tangity, part of the NTT DATA Design Network, is a global design studio dedicated to humanising complexity. We combine Strategy, Technology, and Design to create meaningful, inclusive, and impactful services that improve lives and systems. Our studios work closely with delivery teams to embed design deeply into every project and across every touchpoint.
The Role
We are looking for a Product Designer, who has experience delivering AI products and services, is comfortable working with low-code/no-code tools, and has the ability to leverage AI tools in their design process.
This role sits within cross-functional product squads alongside Product Managers, Engineers, Data Scientists, and AI specialists. You will help shape intelligent products from early concept through to scaled delivery, ensuring they are intuitive, transparent and grounded in real user needs.
You will combine strong product thinking, systems design, and interaction craft with a practical understanding of how AI models behave in the real world, including their strengths, limitations, and evolving behavior over time.
Alongside client delivery, you will contribute to Tangity’s human-centred AI approach to product design, helping build out best practices, frameworks, and reusable design patterns for working with AI, from discovery and experimentation through to production. This includes supporting our point of view for clients and contributing to AI maturity assessments that help organizations understand where and how AI can create meaningful value.
In the early phase of the role, there will be a focus on building these foundations while supporting client engagements. Over time, you will grow into a strong voice for AI-informed design within the studio, helping design intelligent products that are not only technically powerful but also responsible, understandable, and trusted by the people who use them.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
