Design Expert

Location: Remote

Engagement Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $50–$125/hour

About the Opportunity

This opportunity is for experienced Product Designers, UX/UI Designers, Design Leads, and AI-Assisted Product Builders interested in contributing to advanced AI evaluation and training projects. You will apply your expertise to help develop real-world design and rapid prototyping scenarios, evaluation frameworks, and reference solutions that improve the capabilities of next-generation AI systems.

The work spans both Product Design and AI-assisted development (Vibecoding), focusing on how experienced product builders solve complex design, usability, and product development challenges.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, Design Systems, or AI-assisted product development.
  • Strong expertise in user-centered design, interaction design, visual design, and rapid prototyping.
  • Experience with tools such as Figma, Framer, Cursor, Claude Code, Replit, v0, or similar platforms.
  • Deep understanding of design systems, component libraries, usability testing, and cross-functional product development.
  • Excellent written communication and product critique skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate work against professional design standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design real-world product design and rapid prototyping scenarios for AI evaluation projects.
  • Develop tasks involving UX/UI design, design systems, user flows, usability testing, and AI-assisted application development.
  • Create reference outputs, design specifications, prototypes, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Apply human-centered design principles and product-thinking methodologies to assess work quality.
  • Evaluate AI-generated and human-created design deliverables for usability, functionality, and execution quality.
  • Author detailed rubrics that distinguish senior-level product judgment from basic or template-driven work.
  • Collaborate with project teams to improve AI performance across design and product development workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at leading technology, product, startup, or design-focused organizations.
  • Direct ownership of design systems, product experiences, or AI-assisted development workflows shipped to production.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating product design, UX, design systems, or rapid prototyping expertise.
  • Experience creating training materials, design critiques, evaluation frameworks, or review processes.
  • Familiarity with AI evaluation, human-feedback systems, or AI training projects.
