PRODUCT DEVELOPER | FASHION & APPAREL
London | Up to £38,000 | 12-Month FTC
Are you a technically strong Product Developer who knows how to take a product from initial design handover through to production?
We’re partnering with an established global fashion group to recruit an experienced Product Developer for a fast-paced, commercially driven apparel brand.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of the full product development lifecycle — working closely with design, sourcing, production and overseas factories to deliver great-fitting, commercially viable product on time and to standard.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing development from design handover through Proto, SMS, PPS and shipment stages
- Leading fit sessions and approving samples
- Creating and maintaining tech packs, size specs, workbooks and construction standards
- Managing the development critical path and keeping timelines firmly on track
- Working directly with overseas factories and suppliers
- Approving fabrics, trims, lab dips, prints and embroidery techniques
- Resolving fit, fabric, construction and quality issues
- Overseeing testing, compliance and product performance
- Supporting and mentoring more junior technical/product team members

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
