Job Title: Product Development Coordinator
BSS, part of Travis Perkins plc, is hiring for a Product Development Coordinator to join our Commercial team and manage our flagship Own Brand, BOSS™.
Working Pattern & Location
Hybrid Working: Flexible hybrid model requiring office attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays based at Magna Park in Lutterworth (with occasional days at Crosspoint in Coventry). The remaining days are based at home.
Travel Requirements: Full UK driving licence (to support occasional supplier and site interactions).
The Opportunity
As Product Development Coordinator, you will maintain and develop the BOSS™ product lifecycle, supporting commercial initiatives that impact brand performance, margin and stock availability.
What You'll Be Doing
- Product Range & Data Governance: Maintain accurate product and pricing files, update systems for supplier price changes, and review range performance to optimise the BOSS™ product lifecycle.
- Sourcing & Resourcing Projects: Support end-to-end sourcing initiatives across UK, European, and Far East suppliers.
- Continuity of Supply: Serve as a primary point of contact for branch and supplier queries, resolving stock and supply chain issues promptly to maintain high product availability.
- Marketing & Communications: Support the creation of internal and external marketing content across trade counter POS, social media, customer newsletters, branch TV and supplier events.
- QA & Responsible Sourcing: Partner with Own Brand, QA, and Category teams to ensure all BOSS™ products meet statutory safety, legal and environmental compliance standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build effective working relationships across BSS and our Travis Perkins Group stakeholders.

Essential
- Proven experience managing and maintaining accurate data sets and system/product files.
- Background in a merchanting, trade distribution or retail environment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with a methodical approach to problem solving.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with confidence using spreadsheets and adapting to multiple systems/applications.
- Outstanding communication, listening and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Full UK driving licence and a valid passport.

We'd Particularly Like to See
- Prior experience with Own Brand product management, sourcing or supplier management.
- Familiarity with project management, supply chain or responsible sourcing principles.
- Degree in Business or a related discipline.
