Description
The Product Development team works across a range of subjects and levels, from advanced maths and science to primary reading, for UK and international markets, in both print and digital formats. This role will give you the opportunity to gain insight into the publishing process across different markets and through different mediums.
In the role, you will support the team by taking on a wide variety of admin and editorial tasks as required, ensuring the team is always fully up to date with the status of tasks taken on. These will include tasks such as database creation, book page checking, picture research, author and illustrator research and checking, formatting, and organizing files. Tasks will come to you from a variety of sources, and you will be expected to manage your own workload (with support from your line manager). Therefore, it is key to have clear communication and organization skills as well as the ability to think clearly and manage varied schedules.

Key Responsibilities
- General administrative and editorial tasks involved with the setup and management of projects, as well as tasks post-publication
- Support the team with ongoing project efficiencies and streamlining
- Proofread and collate comments on book layouts in print and digital products
- Maintain image licensing records and conduct picture research
- Research potential authors and illustrators
