Product Development Manager - Working with Consumer Products

Bishops Stortford, Herts
Circa £40k - £45K + Benefits

Are you passionate about bringing innovative consumer products to market?
We're looking for a Product Development Executive ready to step up, or a Product Development Manager who wants to own product development projects from concept through launch of a product portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in physical consumer products, product development, category management, buying, or NPD who enjoys turning ideas into commercially successful products.

Job Description

  • Managing product development projects from concept through to launch
  • Working closely with design, sales, marketing, and international suppliers
  • Conducting market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities
  • Creating product specifications and managing development timelines
  • Supporting sourcing, costing, and margin management activities
  • Coordinating packaging, product testing, and launch activities

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a Product Development, Product Manager, NPD, Category, Buying, or similar role
  • Experience working with physical consumer products
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with suppliers and manufacturers would be advantageous
