Role Description

The Product Development Specialist is a full-time hybrid role based in Oldbury, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for supporting the end-to-end development of new products and enhancements to existing ranges, from initial concept through launch.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting market and competitor research
  • Gathering customer insights
  • Collaborating with R&D and product management to refine product features and specifications
  • Preparing product documentation
  • Supporting testing and quality checks
  • Coordinating timelines with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Tracking product performance
  • Analyzing feedback and sales data
  • Recommending improvements to ensure products meet commercial and customer expectations

Qualifications

  • Strong Market Research and Analytical Skills to evaluate trends, customer needs, and product performance
  • Research and Development (R&D) skills to support concept validation, product testing, and technical improvement initiatives
  • Product Management skills to help plan product lifecycles, coordinate launches, and align offerings with business goals
  • Effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders and to present findings clearly
