🚀 Full Stack Product Engineer TypeScript & Python

📍 Central London | Hybrid (3 days/week) 💰 £75,000 - £100,000 + Equity

IMPORTANT: You must have strong commercial experience with BOTH Python and TypeScript to be considered for this role.

We're working with a high-growth, mission-driven technology company building products at the intersection of healthcare, finance and AI.

They're tackling a genuinely complex problem with the ambition to fundamentally change how people access and experience an essential part of healthcare!!

The Role

This is a product-focused Full Stack Engineering role with a frontend lean, sitting within a small, highly autonomous engineering team.

You'll take ownership from understanding the problem, through technical decisions and implementation, all the way to shipping and iterating with real users.

  • Building and shipping customer-facing product experiences using TypeScript, React and Next.js
  • Developing backend services and product logic in Python
  • Designing and integrating complex workflows and third-party systems
  • Working with relational databases and production infrastructure
  • Using AI as part of your everyday engineering workflow
  • Taking ownership of projects from initial idea through to production
  • Working closely with Product, Design, Operations and Data to solve problems holistically
  • Improving engineering quality, infrastructure and developer experience as the company scales

We're looking for someone who...

  • Has strong commercial experience with both Python AND TypeScript - this is non-negotiable
  • Has 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience, ideally within startups
  • Is comfortable working across frontend and backend, with a frontend/product lean
  • Has shipped products used by real customers
  • Can take a large, ambiguous problem and break it down into something shippable
  • Enjoys working in small teams where engineers have significant ownership
  • Cares about the product and user experience, not just the underlying code
  • Has strong engineering fundamentals and prefers simple, pragmatic solutions
  • Is genuinely AI-native - using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or equivalent as part of their day-to-day workflow
