This role is offered on a 23 month Fixed Term Contract with the potential to be extended/ made permanent in the future

What you will do:

  • Support product lifecycle activities for assigned Lab Filtration products, including design changes, product improvements, technical documentation, specifications, bills of materials, obsolescence, and product rationalisation.
  • Investigate product and manufacturing issues affecting safety, quality, delivery, or cost; apply structured problem-solving methods and work with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Process Engineering to implement corrective actions.
  • Contribute engineering deliverables to new product development, product transfer, supplier change, verification, validation, risk assessment, design review, and product qualification activities.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate engineering and quality records in accordance with Cytiva procedures and applicable requirements, including support for non conformance, CAPA, complaint, deviation, audit, and inspection activities.
  • Identify and deliver continuous-improvement and productivity opportunities that improve product performance, manufacturability, quality, cost, or operational reliability.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent recognised qualification, in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Design, Materials Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Practical experience in product engineering, sustaining engineering, product development, manufacturing engineering, or quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings (SolidWorks experience) and product specifications and supporting controlled changes to products, materials, components, processes, or technical records.
  • Experience applying structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis methods to technical or manufacturing issues.
  • Experience working within a quality management system and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to complete documented engineering deliverables.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – 10% travel, overnight, within territory or locations
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in life sciences, filtration, medical devices, diagnostics, biotechnology, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience supporting design verification, validation, risk management, product qualification, or supplier-change activities.
  • Experience using product lifecycle management, or electronic quality/document-management systems
