Job Title: Product Engineer
Location: Cardiff, UK — Hybrid (1 day/week in-office)
Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking a Product Engineer to join our engineering team. This is a hybrid role requiring 1 day per week on-site in our Cardiff office, offering a balance of collaborative in-person working and remote flexibility.
In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and fellow engineers to solve complex business challenges and build high-quality digital products used by thousands of learners and instructors across the UK.
You won't just write code, you will take true ownership of features from discovery and design through implementation, deployment, and production support.
A Note on Our Tech Stack & AI: Our core ecosystem includes TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, Flutter, and AWS. However, we hire for problem-solving, strong engineering judgment, and adaptability over specific tech stack mastery. We actively embrace AI-assisted software development and expect our engineers to leverage these tools responsibly to boost productivity while taking complete accountability for quality, security, and maintainability.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
